This blog is brand new. I am so happy you have decided to join me here. I need a good place to discuss the journey I am on with my art. This seems like a great place to do that.
This first piece is made for the first day of fall. I was walking in my driveway and found a lovely, tiny feather. It sparked an interest to create some feathers in watercolor. I don’t know the origin of that feather but the other two I do know. The brown and white striped is a hawk feather. We see many hawks here in eastern Pennsylvania. They glide and swoop so elegantly.
The red feather is from a Red-Winged Blackbird. Have seen one in my backyard several times. I have not been able to get close enough to get a good picture but he flies across my path now and again. According to my research, this is a symbol of good luck, announcing a “forthcoming big change in life”.
Sounds good to me. That change is starting with this blog. Thanks for being here.
